The Possen Park for recreation and relaxation, which is located in one of the largest beech forests in Europe, offers a broad variety of things to see and do, such as Europe's oldest and highest (42.18 meters) observation tower in half-timbered construction and the royal hunting lodge.
In addition to the wildlife preserve with many native and non-native animals (e.g., brown bears, leopards, meerkats, kangaroos and emus), Possen Park contains one of the largest playgrounds in the region.
Refreshments are available in the "Jagdschloß" restaurant, at the kiosk and in the beer garden.
Recently, a riding hall and a high rope course were added to the big park. The newest attraction is a climbing wall for little visitors, aged two years and up. Surrounded by protective netting, the children do not climb higher than one meter. The largest bounce house in Germany awaits them too.
Possen Park also has something for riding fans. In addition to the riding hall and boarding stables for horses, offers include standard horseback riding, equestrian sports for children and guided trail rides. Yet another popular attraction is pony rides on weekends.
Families on vacation flock to the park as do children from kindergartens, school classes and day-trippers (cyclists and hikers). Our bungalow village provides lots of space for overnight stays. Each bungalow is equipped with its own shower and toilet. Because all bungalows can be heated, they can be used year-round.
Entry to the Possen Park is free!
