You can experience the forest with all your senses as you follow the winding four-kilometer Forest Adventure Path between the Rothenburg ruins and the Kyffhäuser Monument. The 10 stations that await you here on the northern slope of the Kyffhäuser hills invite you to experience, enjoy and understand the forest.
How did the forest look many years ago? How can you measure the height of a tree? From what perspective does a beetle look at the forest? Along the four-kilometer route the Kyffhäuser Forest will tell you the answers to these questions and other secrets.
Have you ever run across the forest floor without shoes and socks? If not, then you can do it here and get a natural reflex zone massage. If you'd rather train your hearing, try playing a simple melody on the forest xylophone.
The Forest Adventure Path is highly recommended for families. Just follow the signs with the slanted green bar.
Location The path lies between the parking lot at the Rothenburg ruins and the Kyffhäuser Monument.
Directions The path begins at the hikers' parking lot near the Rotherburg ruins (B 85).
