Feuerkuppe Recreation Park in Straußberg is located in an idyllic 19-hectare natural setting surrounded by old beech forests on the Hainleite hills (about 400 meters above sea level). The broad range of recreational activities and reasonable prices make the park the perfect place for a family day trip or vacation.

Because the park is part of the "Adventure Park Straußberg", guests can visit the monkey forests, summer toboggan run and the Straußberg fortress. Teens and younger children have a big choice of games and sports, including bowling, billiards, minigolf, swimming in the outdoor pool with slide, and playing on a large athletic field covered with AstroTurf.

From the "Feuerkuppe" overlook, guests have a great view of the Wipper valley toward the Harz and, on clear days, all the way to the Brocken. The park offers accommodations for almost 600 guests in 50 bungalows and a guesthouse. Bungalows are equipped with two to six bedrooms, WC/sink and a dayroom. Some of the bungalows, which are equipped with heating system and showers, are suitable for family vacations year-round. for family vacations. Directions
Via Autobahn A4:
Follow A4 toward Erfurt to Erfurter Kreuz on A71 northwards. At the autobahn interchange Erfurt-Gispersleben, keep to the right and continue on B4 toward Magdeburg/Nordhausen/Sondershausen. In Sondershausen turn right into the commercial zone "Schachtstraße" and follow the brown signs. After you cross Großfurra and Kleinfurra, turn left onto L2083, heading toward Straußberg. After about 3.5 km, you'll be at the park.

Via Autobahn A38:
Take the A38 to the Nordhausen exit and switch to B4 toward Sondershausen. At Hain turn right and follow the street toward Kleinfurra. In Kleinfurra drive straight across the intersection at Sandweg and Kreisstraße toward Straußberg. After about 3.5 km, you'll come to the park.
