The Panorama fine arts museum presents the monumental painting "Frühbürgerliche Revolution in Deutschland" by Werner Tübke in addition to its main collection and temporary exhibitions, which, in addition to art history topics, are dedicated to contemporary figurative art of international standing.
The museum is mentioned in the blue book of the German federal government as a "cultural place of remembrance" with special national significance. Twenty institutions in the new federal states also are listed.
The Panorama Museum was awarded the "Europäischen Kulturerbe-Siegel" (European Cultural Heritage Seal) on 7 September 2011.
