The Sonderhausen Mikwe, which was found in 2007 near the Krämer bridge in Erfurt, is one of the oldest remaining Jewish ritual baths in Central Germany. It has been preserved in situ along with a portion of the adjoining foundation of the city walls and integrated in the addition to the shopping center "Galerie am Schlossberg". Categorized as an external exhibition room belonging to the Schlossmuseum Sondershausen, the find can be seen during a guided tour (by appointment only). The exhibition was awarded the Denkmalspreis (historic monument award) for Thuringia in 2002.
