Turn old into new – a chance to improve health and fitness



With an unusual and innovative open-air health park, Bad Frankenhausen closes the gap between spa park and spring grounds. In operation since 2016, the park offers an extensive selection of spa treatments and recreational activities. The sun-drenched southern slopes of the Kyffhäuser hills was once the site of a salt-water outdoor pool, which offered relaxation and recuperation to thousands of local residents and spa guests from 1938 to 1998. Deemed unsuitable for renovation, it was demolished, leaving space for the new Solewasser-Vitalpark (salt-water vitality park).



State-of-the-art fitness equipment, games, therapy facilities and, of course, the salt-water pool invite young and old health-conscious people who are active or want to become active to visit outside the swimming season too. Spacious sunbathing lawns, quiet zones, changing rooms and outstanding food and beverage services create the perfect conditions for athletic and therapeutic activities.
