Small Spider Orchid
Latin name (synonym): Ophrys araneola
Flowering time: Mid-April to beginning of May
Habitat: Chalk semi-arid grasslands
Occurrences of this orchid in the nature conservation area "Wipperdurchbruch" are the result of cultivation. Because it has mixed with the early spider orchid (Ophrys sphegodes), hardly any samples of this species can be clearly identified.
